About
I am a Doctoral Researcher at the University of Portsmouth, conducting interdisciplinary research on Artificial Intelligence–driven contrail prediction, detection, and avoidance to support sustainable aviation and pathways to net-zero emissions. My research addresses one of aviation’s most critical non-CO₂ climate impacts: aircraft-induced cirrus clouds (contrails), which can contribute significant short-term warming through radiative forcing.
By integrating AI methodologies with aircraft surveillance data (ADS-B), satellite observations, atmospheric indicators, and flight trajectory information, my work focuses on scalable contrail-risk screening and contrail-aware operational trade-offs that balance environmental benefits with operational efficiency.
Alongside my academic work, I bring applied industry experience. At Shinhan Card, I analysed over 12,000 auto-loan contracts to derive insights into repayment behaviour, supporting reductions in non-performing loan risk. Previously at CSULfinance, I contributed to policy development that improved operational efficiency by 20% and supported targeted workforce training initiatives.
PhD Researcher / Data Scientist / Insight Analyst
I specialise in translating complex data into actionable insight through statistical modelling, machine learning, and reproducible analytical pipelines. My work spans both academic research and applied analytics, with a strong focus on interpretability, scalability, and decision support.
